Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Store Cashier to join our team. The Cashier is responsible for processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, and providing exceptional service to customers.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and respond to their questions.
Operate cash registers, scanners, and other point-of-sale equipment.
Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and provide accurate change.
Maintain accurate cash drawer and reconcile discrepancies at end of shift.
Bag merchandise and assist customers with loading items when necessary.
Monitor and restock checkout supplies (bags, receipt paper, etc.).
Maintain cleanliness of checkout area and front of store.
Follow all store procedures regarding coupons, returns, and exchanges.
Report any suspicious activity, security concerns, or customer issues to management.
Collaborate with other team members to meet store goals.
